1    France elected new president.

 

  • France parliamentary assembly has elected former foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier by an overwhelming majority to become the country’s new president.

 

  • He will replace Francois Hollande.

2    Blind cricket world cup (T 20) won by India.

 

  • Defending champions India thrashed arch-rivals Pakistan by 9 wickets in Bengaluru to lift the Blind T20 World Cup title.

 

 3    Delhi airport 12th busiest in the world.

 

  • Delhi International Airport was the 12th busiest airport worldwide for the month of November 2016, according to a latest report published by International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

 

  • This is the first time an Indian airport has entered the big league of top 15 airports in the world, which comprises of major airports like Atlanta, Dubai, Los Angeles and Changi airports.

 

 4    1st Time, Solar panels have been installed on an Indian warship.

 

  • The survey class vessel INS Sarvekshak, attached with the Southern Naval command, has been fitted with 18 sheets of solar panels atop its hangar.

 

 5    National Women’s Parliament held in Andhra Pradesh.

 

  • The three-day National Women’s Parliament, organised by Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly with the theme of ‘Empowering Women — Strengthening Democracy’, held in the state capital region Amaravati.
