Assets of 84% sitting MLAs in Himachal Pradesh increase in 5 years

According to affidavits submitted by 58 re-contesting MLA inHimachal Pradesh, assets of 84% legislators have increased in the last five years, while 9% have registered a dip in their possessions.

Assets of 49 out of 58 MLAs have increased between 5% and 1,167%, while assets of remaining nine legislators have decreased between 4% and 37%. The Average assets of the re-contesting MLAs fielded by various parties, including the independents, in 2017 was Rs 9.30 crore, which has increased to Rs 12.08 crore in 2022.

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) andHimachalPradesh Election Watch have analysed the self-sworn affidavits of 58 re-contesting MLAs. The analysis revealed an average asset Growth of Rs 2.77 crore between the assembly in 2017 and 2022. The average Percentage growth in assets is 30%.

National Mission for Clean Ganga Organizes Ganga Utsav – The River Festival

National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) organized Ganga Utsav – The River Festival 2022 on 4thNovember at New Delhi in two sessions.

Ganga Utsav 2022 is dedicated to theAzadi ka Amrit Mahotsavthat is being observed to commemorate the 75 years of Indian Independence. As Ganga Utsav 2022 is held in the 75thyear of independence, it is planned to have 75 separate events in Ganga and its tributary basin cities and towns, by August 2023, 3-day events in 15 major cities like Haridwar, Mathura, Delhi, Kanpur, Varanasi, Patna, Bhagalpur, Kolkata etc., 1-day events in 60 smaller towns/cities, in which local and pan-India culture based events will be promoted.

Army approves five niche tech projects for development by domestic industry

The Army has approved five Project Sanction Orders (PSOs) for development of Niche technology by the Indian under Make-II route of DEFENCE procurement. The projects include High Frequency Man Packed Software Defined Radios (HFSDR), drone kill systems, Infantry Training Weapon Simulator (IWTS), Medium Range Precision Kill Systems (MRPKS) and 155mm Terminally Guided Munitions (TGM).

Make II projects are essentially industry funded projects involving design, development and innovative solutions by Indian vendors for development of prototypes. An assurance of order is given after successful prototype development.
